Let the flooring acclimate for 3 to 4 days. 3.Avoid storing the hardwood in the basement or garage. 2)Preparing the Subfloor. 1.Remove any existing baseboards. 2.Take away any other obstructions. 3.Walk over the subfloor, listening for squeaks. 4.Level out any bumps. 5.Fill in depressions with patching compound. 6.Trim the bottom of doorways if the flooring won't fit. 7.Clean the subfloor.

Gluing Down Engineered Hardwoods on Concrete Subfloors: 1.Add underlayment if recommended by the manufacturer. 2.Lay out your spacers against the wall. 3. Pour glue onto the concrete. 4.Use the trowel to spread the glue. 5.Lay the first row of boards. 6. Fit the groove of the second row over the tongue of the first. 7.
